I have a mass that is benign and a 3.5 goiter on my thyroid that is benign. doctor wants to remove my thyroid. i am neither hypo or hyper. so is there?

Thyroid: I feel that these are commonly benign findings in females and would be more concerning in males. I recommend obtaining a second opinion from a surgeon who is highly experienced in head and neck surgery. Your endocrinologist would collaborate with this surgeon who is skilled in thyroid surgery. Proper follow-up will also be obtained.
