I am not immune to rubella. i had my levels checked at the start of my pregnancy. i had the vax in 2007 after the birth of my 1st child because i wasn't immune then either. apparently my immunity wears off. do i need to vax again? baby is 1 month old

Depends: Do you plan another pregnancy ? If so, it may be worthwhile. Sometimes the prenatal screening test will test negative when you actually have enough antibodies to protect you, but the effect of rubella on a fetus is so dramatic it is worth repeating. If not, with past vaccines in your system it may not be needed.

Immune evaluation: If you have had no response to the vaccine in 2007 , you should consider getting another booster and check for antibody titer in 30-45 days after. Assuming the vaccine was stored & handled properly, the lack of response may warrant an immune evaluation .
