Regular use: of birth control pills, does correct the period issue, but not the cause. Likely PCOS, irregular ovulation is the problem. Pregnancy prevention is very good with the use of the birth control pill. Ask your doctor about PCOS, and ovulation issues, particularly if you wish to conceive.
