Yeast? Herpes?: This might be nothing more than local irritation madee worse by scratching and causing superficial wounds. However, if there are open sores or if the swelling and itchiness started before you scracthed it, a yeast infection or genital herpes might be possible. Keep your hands off for at least a few days and see a doctor if there are sores and/or the swelling and irritaiton continue.
