Reflux: Sometimes gastroesophageal reflux can be so prevalent that the esophagus becomes so irritated that it can hurt to eat. There are many medications available for management of reflux. Change in diet can also alleviate symptoms. Sometimes reflux can be worsened by slow gastric emptying. If not getting results from general practice physician should consult specialist gastroenterologist.
