Intolerant: Although there are reports on the existence of alcohol allergy, the incidence must be very rare if even existent. Since alcohol stimulates acid production, it may cause a gastritis or worsen an existing problem such as stomach ulcer. If you can't tolerate alcohol , you should simply avoid it and tell people that you are allergic to it if under social pressure.
