Your are very young: pain in the sternum does not mean cardiac disease, most likely it is due to costochondritis, a condition related with the sternum and the cartilages of the ribs, some advil for few days (2 to 3 days) must be enough to relief it. Don't panic if it recurrent, that is very frequent
