Why is it that only one of my nostrils is always drying and cracking yet the other is perfectly fine?

Septal deviation: This may be from a crooked nasal septum (the wall which separates your nose into two chambers). One side may be getting too much air and thus gets dry and crusty. Try saline nasal gel or get the septum repaired.
