Yes, several: The best drug is one that has a high cure rate for similar infections in your geographic area, minimal side effects, and is cost effective. Macrobid, Bactrim, Fosfomycin, and cephalexin are all reasonable alternatives. A urine culture is the best way to determine a good antibiotic choice, but cipro and its class aren’t recommended anymore unless you’ve no other reasonable alternative.
