In the past week my ankles swell noticeably, not so bad in the morning. i am on high blood pressure treatment and it is controlled. is this a big deal?

May be from meds: It is probably as a side effect from the meds you have been prescribed.The commonest drug used to treat high blood pressure is Norvasc(Amlodipine),it can cause ankle edema.Other cause of ankle edema is from congestive heart failure.We don't know what drug or drugs you are on to control your BP.I suggest you discuss your concern about this with your treating doctor.It may/may not be a big deal
