It Could Be: possible that you had not been exposed to your partner's HSV1 until recently leading to your current major outbreak so it is likely that your partner has been faithful as long as they are not having a major outbreak too. The first outbreak is generally more severe so they may not show any signs. HSV1 is more common in the oral area and you could get it from oral sex or if they have it genitally.
