Affected area : Mild chickenpox may present as fluid-filled vesicles scattered anywhere on the skin and rarely affects the mouth‘s mucous membranes. Severe chickenpox is painful to see. Hand foot and mouth disease also causes vesicles which may be few in number but appear on the palms and soles of the feet and the mucous membranes of the mouth.
