Not from sheep: Sheep can be infected with a type of chlamydia, but it's different than the chlamydia that causes STDs in humans. If your husband really has a urethral chlamydial infection, he had to catch it sexually from you or another sex partner. He didn't catch it from the sheep. Assuming you and he are sexually active together, you also need treatment. Discuss with your doctor or an STD expert. Good luck.

Chlamydia: Agree with Dr. Handsfield. Chlamydia abortus (Chlamydia psittaci) can infect sheep. See excellent article: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/chlamydophila-abortus. It may be transmitted to humans through the respiratory tract. However, genital Chlamydia in a human is caused by Chlamydia trachomatis.
