Sometimes our: metabolism changes or there are endocrine abnormalities that develop but usually weight gain is due to excessive caloric intake and decreased exertional capacity. Maybe you are eating the same but are more sedentary. Have your health care provider evaluate and exclude metabolic/endocrine issues and then eat less and exercise more.
