Ultrasound: It is very common for women to have knocks to the abdomen during pregnancy. Luckily the body has evolved to be capable to protecting baby from the vast majority of these injuries. There are a number of layers between baby and the outside, including a pocket of fluid. An ultrasound via your Dr or midwife will give you some reassurance. Otherwise monitor for fatal movements, cramping, bleeding.

Do not worry: A normal pregnancy will not be affected by a 15 pound dog dancing on your belly. I trust that you are under the care of a doctor for the sake of your and your baby's health. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!

Worth a check: An examination might be useful to check you havent been injured. The difficulty is if there has been significant trauma to the baby at this stage - ultrasound may be reassuring if normal, however may unfortunately be little that can be done at this very early stage if baby has been compromised - which can be difficult. Certainly at the minimum worth getting yourself checked re injury
