Try for 1 year: general recommendation is to try getting pregnant for one year before getting medical evaluation. after that, your doctor can evaluate you and your partner for any fertility issues. close follow-up with your physician can get you more information about implantation issues

Good Luck: It is important to stay healthy when trying to get pregnant, so be sure not to drink alcohol, do NOT smoke, and eat a healthy diet. Having sex often around when you ovulate is the best time to possibly get pregnant. Not everyone gets pregnant right away, and persistence will hopefully pay off. If it takes too long, see your Dr. for an evaluation, Best wishes.
