Go to doctor.: If you’re feeling sick and you took leftover antibiotics from the previous infection that you didn’t finish, figuring you keep around until you got sick, then you really need to see a doctor. Self-diagnosis often leads to problems. Let a doctor evaluate you and prescribe the appropriate (non-expired) antibiotic.

Poor idea: It is inadvisable to self treat. Most medications can be taken 6 months after the expiration date safely if the tablets or capsules haven't shown signs of degradation, but ironically the tetracycline class,of which minocycline is one, is not one of them. Don't take anymore. Your present illness may be viral for which antibiotics are ineffective. Rest, take fluids and Tylenol. Call MD as needed
