day after i drink alcohol i wake up with crusty eyes and sore fingers. could this allergy or intolerance? if so what's in booze to cause this?

Not likely allergy: While allergy to a component of alcohol can happen, it is exceedingly rare. Food allergies also cause very specific symptoms in an immediate manner. You likely are experiencing effects of dehydration and "hangover.".
