Normal≠Healthy only: means usual. Any pain down leg a result of continued problems. However surgery rarely best option. What is? Relieve the pressure. How? Traction. Vertebra & disks under constant compression 24/7. This is what drives disk rupture, vertebral fx's in 1st place. Thus intermittent spinal traction/stretching the tissue to allow return blood flow & healing. Many ways; eg. 1 option upright inversion table.
