I had a couple drinks the other night and caused severe pains under my rib cage. on omeprazole 40mg. this has happened twice ?

Pancreas: This could well be pain from gastritis/the stomach, but alcohol can also affect the pancreas. The gallbladder is also near the rib cage on the right side - it could be any of these. An exam and blood work would perhaps provide some help sorting this out, especially if done when you have the pain.

Alcohol = poison: Alcohol is a poison that never did any body any good, ever. Quit drinking while you are ahead. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
