Very accurate: Do you mean four weeks after a missed period? If yes, a negative blood test at that stage is very accurate. If you have any doubts, you may request an ultrasound examination.

A 25-year-old female asked:

Had a blood pregnancy test done on Thursday...they called and said it was negative but they want it repeated on Monday, could I still be pregnant?

I suspect: that they are asking that question if they have asked you to return. The HCG level has to reach a certain threshold to make a pregnancy test turn positive. The HCG level increases quickly when pregnant. Take care.
