I have.a stomach virus. came close to vomiting four days ago but never did and still haven't. no diarrhea, just constipated with loose stool. advised to reduce to liquid diet and take anti-diarrheal but i don't understand why. any ideas?

Stomach virus?: Generally speaking, a stomach virus or a foodborne illness was generally last up to 3 to 5 days. In looking at the symptoms you have described, there certainly are other possibilities that this could be. If you remain symptomatic, it would be more wise to readdress the diagnosis that you try to treat the individual symptoms. I would recommend he follow up with your doctor again.
