A member asked:

Is there a difference between anti-ro/ssa 52-kd level and anti-ro52/trim 21, or are they the same thing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Same thing.: I believe you are running into a nomenclature problem, its essentially the same antibody protein, not to be confused with the Ro60 antibody, designated as SSA/60 sometimes. So the easy way to look at it is there are 2 SSA/Ro antibodies. 52 kd and 60 kd which have different clinical ramifications.
