Can donating plasma cause phlebitis?

Arm phlebitis: Any time that blood is drawn from a vein or a needle is inserted into a vein there is an increased risk of forming a clot in that vein. This is call phlebitis. If the clot gets inflamed and tender then this is called thrombophlebitis .
