Freckles: Avoiding sun will certainly help prevent freckles from getting worse but other factors can play a part. You should be seen by your dermatologist and skin care specialist (aesthetician) for a skin care program to help minimize pigmentation.

Wear sunscreen daily: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (spf 30 or higher) every day, rain or shine; wear wide-brimmed hats; avoid peak sun hours (10am to 4pm); and stay in the shade whenever possible. Many people don't like that answer, but it's your only realistic option. Freckle prevention is way more effective than trying to remove freckles that have already developed.
