Elbow pain: This is an apparent inflammatory problem such as tendonitis unless it's an injury of the arm. For inflammatory problems, treatment consists of rest, applying cold or warm compresses, liniment and, if you can tolerate them, anti-inflammatory medications like Advil with food. If symptoms persist or worsen, a physician or orthopedic specialist will have to evaluate you for diagnosis and treatment.
