Have yrly paps.in 2008, had an ab, low grade pap.since then,yearly pap,all normal, but this yr only did exam,no pap.last pap last jan.cancer unlikely?

Unlikely: the PAP which was "low grade" indicated inflammation not early cancer..HOWEVER get your routine tests done yearly especially if you are sexually active! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z

Lower frequency ok: If the PAP smear has remained normal for five years, it is okay to do the smear at a lower frequency, even every three years. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
