Cough Suppressant: There can be more than one cause for cough. Did he have a recent head cold or sore throat? It is not uncommon to have some bronchitis after a head cold. Zit will go away in 2 weeks with or without medicine. Robitussin-DM is one good cough supprassant if need be.

Take him to his : doctor, it may be simple airways cold, or a more serious problem, if he has high blood pressure, a smoker, has a lung disease, or a side effect of a medication he is on, etc.. So professional help is needed, wish you both wellness
