How long do i need to wait after antibiotics for a strep test to be accurate?

Antibiotics first?: If you are treated with antibiotics and then get strep testing your results may be negative. Prior to antibiotics, the rapid strep test takes 15 to 20 minutes to get a result and a culture can take 24 to 48 hours to get a result back. Good luck
