A member asked:

I'm 26 weeks pregnant baby is transverse position, head on the left side by the ribs under breast, i have excruciating upper backache. what can i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fetal position.: At 26 wks gestational, it is not unusual to see a transverse position. It is prudent to get an obstetric ultrasound to confirm placental location and rule out fibroid. Most of the transverse presentation at this time will rotate to vertex close to term. You can use Tylenol which is safe in pregnancy for comfort and inform your doctor accordingly. Good luck.
