Maybe/not: There are dozens of strains of HPV,There are at least 7 strains now associated with cervical cancer and 2 strains known to produce genital warts. The majority of people will be HPV positive & women have been getting pap smears for decades to monitor pre-cancer signs triggered by the risk strains. If you finds out you have the risk strains you may be more motivated to do follow up visits.
