Sometimes birth control pills make the lining so thin that you don't have any period. Sometimes the bleeding can just be spotting or occur after you are done with the placebo pills. It varies: Most women start menstruating by day 3 or 4, but it can be later and occasionally menses are so light that it seems like it is missed all together. Keep taking the pills on schedule to maintain optimal contraception.
