Contraception: Not sure what you are referring to - Nexplanon or Implanon? They are effective for up to 3 years. So, if you are referring to birth control implant, then it would be expired. If this is not what you are asking about - then please resubmit with clarification.

Implant: I think you're describing a progesterone implant (or a rod). If you had 2 inserted then you may still be covered as 2 will last for 5 years. 1 only lasts 3 years. Jadelle: Is the main implant in NZ and lasts 5y if 2 rods inserted. May wish to discuss with GP what you do this time as difficult to know at your age re whether reaching menopause or not and which contraceptive option best- reinsert vs change. Some choose to switch to shorter term options, but depends on your situation as to what is best.
