There is: usually no pain when prostate is examined .. even milder cases of prostate inflammation do not result in a tender prostate..and (unfortunately) most prostate cancers do no cause discomfort until they spread beyond the "borders" of the gland itself! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z

Good afternoon doctors. I asked the earlier PSA question. My PSA is 1.32. In mid 2020 it was 1.20. Urologist found a lump on my prostate during a digital examination. Since to me PSA seems within normal range, how likely is it I have prostate cancer?
