Choice: Your choice. No contraindications w alcohol listed for this med. 4 pints of beer and this med which can upset your stomach might cause some GI discomfort. Depends if you drink that much frequently you need to consider your health risks. Poison ivy is symptom limited treatment. If your withdrawal from alcohol would have happened then next choices for your health are up to you and your Doctor.

Hold off: Because medrol can cause stomach upset, I would hold off on beer or other alcohol so stomach problems don't occur or are made worse by the combination of the drug and alcohol. Alcohol could affect the effectiveness of the medrol. Good luck
