Maybe a tough question ,or easy ,depending on what you've eaten in a day is 2lbs an average amount to gain in a day and lose it by the next morning just curious how things work!

Water weight.: Day to day, weight gain or loss of as much as five pounds can be experienced by retention or excretion of water, respectively. For example, if you weighed yourself this morning and had a rather salty meal tonight, you could very well be 2-5 pounds heavier tomorrow morning, then back down again the following morning.

Weight gain: 2 to 3 lbs is about the average daily body weight variation from food and water consumption.
