Not generally: but the symptoms often exist together...hyperacidity irritates both the lower esophagus ("heartburn") and the stomach (nausea) An H-2 blocker (eg: PRILOSEC example only)) might be worth a try. Speak with your PCP (Primary Care Provider) Hope this helps Dr Z
