A member asked:

Hello, can you lose your gag reflex after using it to throw up for a while and can you ever regain your gag reflex if it is lost? thank you for answering

Depends: You would have to lose your gag reflex by causing some nerve damage. I don't think that vomiting would cause permanent loss of your gag reflex.

No: Once the Gag reflex is lost you cannot regain it. It is under nervous system control. It is a problem seen with a stroke. If the stroke affects the reflex then you cannot eat by mouth any longer. You must be fed through a stomach tube. Anorexia is a concern which causes people to vomit to keep weight off. It can be serious and even life threatening. If this applies seek help.

Plan: It's possible. To regain gag reflex you need to stop using this for vomiting forever!!! Then in 1-3 month it will be restored. Best wishes.
