After sex: Are you sure that these symptoms occur only after sexual activity or ejaculation? A sensation of a lump in the throat with a normal throat examination is seen with anxiety. Shortness of breath at rest but not with exertion is another symptom of anxiety or stress. If you have shortness of breath or wheezing with exercise see your physician as a type of asthma could be the cause.
