Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation. At age 18 you are able to see a doctor without parental permission

Sexually: Active, with pelvic pain, I'm afraid you need to go to the gynecologist. Your birth control will not protect you from pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). Pain for that long requires investigation; a pelvic exam with cultures for bacterial infection, and possibly an ultrasound. See a gynecologist, or if the pain is significant, go to the ER where these tests can be done.
