Mixing antihistamine: Generally, it's best to follow one's doctor's instructions. If taking a double-dose of antihistamine (a Zyrtec and a Claritin) once in a while, there should not be any noticeable problem. Also, if taking a 12-hour decongestant (the D in Zyrtec-D) and not having too fast of a heart rate nor any shakiness, then taking another dose after 12 or more hours should not cause a problem.
