Yes: It usually takes three days before the discharge disappears totally! So if discharge continues after three days see your doctor for other causes of vaginal discharge! Like Bacterial Vaginosis!

Perfectly normal!: Newton's Law of Gravity applies! You are pushing something up into your vagina, it will then come down over the next few hours. The Monistat is not absorbed into your body, but acts locally on the infection which is on the "outside of the skin" and not inside the skin. So the Monistat will act while it is in contact. Even tho most does come out fairly quickly, some will coat the vagina longer.
