A member asked:

I have painful spasms in my left calf for no reason. i don't really exercise, however i have moderate oa in that knee. what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Muscle pain: Recurrent muscle cramping of the calf suggests there is much baseline tightness in the muscle. This may be indirectly related to your knee problem. Daily or nightly stretching of the calf muscles should help prevent painful muscle cramps or spasms. Taking magnesium daily may reduce muscle irritability also. :)
