Yes: The half life of Ibuprofen is about 2 hours. Hence at lower dose can be taking every 4 hours with attention to its adverse effects. Total dose should not exceed 3200 mg. At 400mg can be taking every 4 hours as needed

Could wear off: Ibuprofenn is typically a drug that is taken every 6 hours but for some people it can wear off in 4 to 6 hours. You can supplement the Motrin with Acetaminophen every 4 to 6 hours. You could also substitute the Ibuprofen with Aleve which could last 10 to 12 hours. Make sure you take any of the anti-inflammatories with food. Good luck
