Menstrual cramps: Usual dose of Ibuprofen for that condition is 400 mg every 4-6 hours (max 2400 mg/day). Higher doses increase risk of stomach irritation or bleeding. Take NSAID with meal to lessen stomach effects. Heating pad to abdomen may help reduce cramping. Gyn may offer other meds for relief.
