There: may be a narrowing (stenosis) of the drainage tube (ureter) which may not show well on normal testing. You should be seeing a UROLOGIST and perhaps ask him/her if a RETROGRADE CONTRAST study of the "collecting system" of the left kidney is indicated. IF the answer is no....and /or all tests negative a PAIN consultation (with a PAIN specialist is your next step (in My Opinion) Hope this helps Z
