When to see doctor..: When to see the doctor again, to be rechecked to see if an antibiotic is working properly for treatment of skin cellulitis or of a small skin abscess: if one's temperature seems to be rising, if the infected area is still growing after 48 hours of antibiotics, if there is more pain or tenderness after 48 hours, if better but symptoms still persist after a few days, if a patient is worried, etc...
