I had a total hysterectomy (uterus, tubes, cervix and one ovary) in april of this year. i went to the er for severe vaginal and abdominal pain with bleeding tonight and they diagnosed me with pid. how is this possible with no uterus or tubes?

2nd opinion: Typically one can not get PID if there is no pathway from the vagina to the inside of the body. Consider scheduling a follow up visit with your Obgyn to reevaluate you.
