I was using a overhead shoulde/back press at the gym (60lbs) and i felt a little tear and pain on my left upper chest/arm with some pain.

Muscle strain: Probably a muscle strain. Could be a small tear, or a ligament/tendon injury. These are usually minor, and respond to anti-inflammatory medication, ice, and rest. May need to do this for at least a week. No lifting. If no better or worse, see you primary care doctor. Hope this helps!
