Maybe old hematoma: It could be an old hematoma (blood clot) that has turned in to scar tissue, or is surrounded by scar tissue. Very unlikely to be a hernia, but an exam by your doctor can help sort out the seriousness, and whether or not any testing needs to be done. Hope this helps!
